SATURDAY, SEPT 19, 2009 - Attendance at the 70th Annual Meeting of Brunswick EMC was among the highest in recent years with well over 3,000 people in attendance.  The auditorium including the balcony was packed for the business meeting.  About 80 members displayed their arts & crafts for sale, with surprisingly warm and sunny temperatures.  The auction was a success... with several bucket trucks and lots of other items sold to help raise money for the Community Grants fund.

Over at the BEMC promo tent, Warm Homes, Warm Hearts fund raffle tickets were a hot item.  Members are invited to stop by any BEMC office and purchase raffle tickets for a 50" Panasonic Plasma HDTV or a Dell Laptop Computer.  Tickets are $3 each or 2 for $5.  The drawing will be held on November 11, 2009.

Thanks to the Intracoastal Model Railroad Club for bringing a great display of model trains, a big hit with "kids" of all ages.

The winner of the $500 Grand Prize Drawing was Rich Milhaven of  Sunset Beach, pictured with employee Gary Woodard and Director JoAnn Simmons with directors John Ward, David Gore and Emery Smith.
