Touchstone Energy
Integrity • Accountability • Innovation • Commitment to Community
In January 1999, BEMC became a member of Touchstone Energy®, a national alliance of 660 locally owned and operated electric cooperatives, committed to providing high standards of service to all customers, large and small.
- Collectively, Touchstone Energy co-ops deliver power and energy solutions to more than 30 million customers in 46 states.
- Touchstone Energy is a branding initiative that communicates the unique characteristics of electric cooperatives in a changing marketplace where these values and differences matter more each day.
- Emphasizes the significance of each electric cooperative's local presence and unique ties to its community, but offers the resources of a nationwide network to bring added value and benefit to customers.
By joining Touchstone Energy®, we have strengthened our commitment to our members by accessing an increased base of support for our already well-established good name. As always, Brunswick EMC continues to be our co-op, owned by members.
Touchstone Energy co-ops share ideas and information on advanced technologies. The alliance helps us broaden our outlook, while allowing us to increase our commitment to the people, businesses and communities we serve. As a Touchstone Energy® cooperative we are aligned with preferred power providers around the nation, leading the industry in customer satisfaction.
With Touchstone Energy backing we have been able to expand our community support activities. You have most likely seen and heard Touchstone Energy® television, radio, newspaper and magazine advertisements, logos, signs and sponsored events. You also see the Touchstone Energy logo paired with the BEMC logo on our vehicles, uniforms, signs, letterhead, advertisements and other communications, including our own Touchstone Energy cold-air balloon.
In the fall of 2001, Brunswick EMC was selected as one of only three Touchstone Energy co-op sites in the country for on-site filming of a video for the group. The video was distributed to all Touchstone Energy co-ops across the country. It is also included in thousands of “Get Charged” educational kits developed in conjunction with the Discovery Channel School and distributed to middle schools all over the United States.
